Before you arrive, you need to do the accommodation induction and book an arrival time slot.

Access to the building
Access is gained by a key fob wrist band. There are two lifts in the building.
Bike storage
Bike storage is available on the lower ground floor, accessible with wristband fob.
Bicycles must not be brought into the flats due to fire regulations. Any bicycle found in a flat, including in bedrooms, will be removed.

Getting around
There are easy transport links with bus stops opposite Tower. It is an approximately 5 minute bus journey to the City Centre and 10 minute to the bus station.
Bristol Temple Meads train station is within 15 minutes walk of the Tower.

Catering options
This residence is self-catered, but food and drink packages are available to purchase.
Cleaning, recycling and rubbish
You are responsible for the day-to-day cleaning of your accommodation. The Student Cleaning Expectations and Guidance document has some helpful information on what cleaning products to use and how, so you know what to do to ensure your accommodation is cleaned well and that you are maintaining a healthy environment.
Bin stores are located on the lower ground level with recycling and general waste containers.

Fire assembly point at Tower
The assembly point is in the park next to Tower by the statue of Samuel Morley.
Fire alarm testing
Fire alarms are tested every Thursday at 12 pm.
First aid
You should report an accident or near miss to the Student Support Centre so we can take steps to prevent it from happening again.
A near miss is an incident that could have resulted in an injury, such as slipping on the stairs or uneven flooring.
Your onsite accommodation team do not hold first aid boxes. They are unable to provide you with bandages, dressings, plasters or any medication.

Gas boiler certificate
The gas boiler certificate was last issued on 8 May 2026.
If you want to know more about the latest gas boiler servicing date, speak to your residential facilities coordinator.
Insurance
The insurance contents provider for this residence is Gallagher.
Basic personal belongings are insured as part of your accommodation contract.
Check your policy and arrange additional cover if required.
Laundry facilities and costs
Prices:
- Washing: from £2.90
- Drying: from £1.30
Drying clothes
You should not dry wet clothes in your room. This causes condensation and mould which can cause health problems, including some potentially serious lung infections.
Lost keys or locked out
If you lose your key there is a £10 replacement charge.
If you are locked out, you can call the emergency number at +44 (0) 7710 392 834. You can also come to reception and staff will allow you access back into your room.
Lost property
Lost and found items are kept in the back office at reception.
Parking
There is no parking available at this residence.
Pest problem
If you think there are pests present, report this to your Residential Facilities Coordinator as soon as possible. This includes rats, mice, cockroaches, bedbugs, fleas, wasps, bees, ants, moths, beetles, moles, foxes, pigeons, squirrels, and silverfish.
We have a contractor who can be called out to deal with problems.
Post
Every flat has their own postbox key. Postboxes are located next to reception.
We will sign for parcels and they go onto Parcelsafe. We have a locked parcel cupboard for collection.
Rent and tenancy dates
The dates of your tenancy and total accommodation fee can be found in your tenancy agreement in the Accommodation Portal.

Request a repair
You can request repairs or maintenance through the Collegiate portal, using a ticketing system.
Damage
If you break or damage something in your residence you need to report it to us.
If you don't tell us, it will be picked up at the end of your tenancy and you may be charged for the repair.
Security and safety
The office is staffed Monday to Friday, 9 am to 12 pm and Saturday to Sunday, 9 am to 5 pm.
Security is on site Monday to Friday, 12 pm to 9am and Saturday to Sunday, 5 pm to 9 am.
In case of an emergency, call 999 to contact the emergency services, including police and ambulance.
After calling 999, if you are on campus, call Security Services on +44 (0)117 331 1223.
