AddLibS - the Additional Library Support Service

New in October 2012: Free Postal Loans

As of 1 October 2012, we are pleased to announce that postal loans within the UK will be sent out free of charge to AddLibS users. Please note that you will still need to pay the cost of return postage if you are unable to bring books back to the library in person by the due date.

We hope you will agree that this marks a significant improvement to the AddLibS service. We welcome feedback, so please contact us if you would like to comment on any of our services.

New in October 2012: Changes to Photocopying Service Charges

As of 1 October, AddLibS will no longer be charging for the cost of postage when sending out photocopied book chapters or journal articles within the UK. There will continue to be a fee of 10p per side for this service.

What is AddLibS?

  • distance-based
  • on placement or in academies
  • on a year abroad or a year in industry
  • researching or writing-up from a distance
  • academic staff on sabbatical or working away

or who have:

  • short-term health problems
  • caring responsibilities (short- or long-term).

If you have any other additional support requirements or significant problems getting to and using our library service, please contact us to discuss whether AddLibS can help.
