Physics Library

Summer Closure

The Physics Library will close for the Summer vacation at 5pm on Friday 18 June. We reopen on Monday 20 September 2021.

  • Please check the other Library webpages for their Vacation opening hours.
  • We will be running a Click and Collect service for Physics books during the closure (items to collect from Arts & Social Sciences Library).

Click and Collect service - summer 2021

While the Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Physics and Queen's Building Libraries are closed for the summer, you can access their books using our Click and Collect Service. Just find the book you need on Library Search, click on the title, then use the blue "reserve or request" button. Don't forget to select the pick-up location where you would like to collect your book from - you'll receive an email when it's available.

Opening hours

Browsing and borrowing

The collection is available to browse and self-issue for the first hour of opening on weekdays only (9am-10am, Monday-Friday). This is known as the ‘browsing hour’.

Outside this hour, items can be reserved via Library Search for collection. These will be picked for you by Library staff and you will be notified when your order is ready for collection.
