Bristol Defence Studies Dining Club

The Bristol Defence Studies Dining Club is an informal group of individuals, based in the Bristol area, who take an interest in defence issues and meet periodically to hear and discuss lectures by distinguished speakers on topics related to defence. A significant proportion of the members are serving or retired members of the Armed Forces and their Reserves, but other members attend through an academic, professional or general interest in defence. The Club was founded in February 1983.

Meetings currently take place roughly twice a year. The format generally comprises an early evening lecture followed, as the name implies, by dining together. In recent times the Club has met at The Clifton Club, Clifton, Bristol.

Membership of the Club is by invitation. Expressions of interest from individuals who would like join its activities are welcome. In the first instance please contact the Secretary or the Chairman of Bristol University Military Education Committee.
