Find out how to cancel your University accommodation contract before your tenancy has started.
If you decide to not to live in University accommodation, you must cancel your room booking and follow the relevant guidance depending upon your individual circumstance.
If you do not follow this guidance, you may be liable for your full accommodation fee.
Cancellation policy for:
Undergraduate students
To cancel your accommodation contract before the tenancy start date, email student-accommodation@bristol.ac.uk. You will be released from your tenancy agreement, and do not need to make any more payments.

Postgraduate students
To cancel your accommodation contract before the tenancy start date, email student-accommodation@bristol.ac.uk.
If you cancel your booking within 7 days of paying your £500 rent in advance, you will receive a full refund. You will not need to make any further payments.
If you cancel your booking after 7 days of paying your £500 rent in advance (but before the tenancy start date), you will not receive a refund for your rent in advance but you will not need to make any further payments.
