Welcome to Sport, Exercise and Health at the University of Bristol. We work together with the University and Bristol SU to provide a range of opportunities for students to participate in sport and physical activity. Whether it's weekly gym session or a fitness class, or representing the University in competitive sport, we will support you in finding your favourite way to stay active during your time at Bristol.
Sport and Physical Activity Welcome programme
Giant Fitness Class - 22 September, 17:00 (FREE)
Join us at the Indoor Sport Centre for a giant fitness class! Come a long for one, two or all three of the classes on offer and experience our most popular fitness classes for free! Sessions available: Zumba with Ivett (17:00-17:25) Legs, Bums, & Tums with Marcia (17:30-17:55) and Body Balance with Charlie (18:00-18:25).
Gym Workshops - 20-24 September (FREE)
Members and PAYG pass holders can join us for a 30-minute FREE barbell, dumbbell and body weight exercise workshops. Meet our gym team and ask specific questions, check your technique and to learn new skills. Sessions run every day at 11.00 (bodyweight), 13.00 (barbell) and 15.00 (dumbbell) at the Indoor Sport Centre gym. Limited capacity. Booking required.
B:Active Campus Taster Classes - 20-26 September (FREE)
B:Active is a programme of fitness classes, social sport and dance-based activity exclusively for students at Bristol. Come and try as many of our classes as you want (for FREE) during Welcome. Limited capacity - online booking required.
Outdoor fitness classes - 22 September 12.00-13.00 (FREE)
Come and try two of our most popular fitness classes for FREE in Royal Fort Gardens! Join us from 12.00 outside Royal Fort House for Zumba (25 minutes) and body Balance (25 minutes) and get a taste of active life at Bristol. No booking required.
#WeAreBristol Colour Run - 26 September, 12:00
Our most popular Welcome event! Jog, walk, skip or hop your way around the fun (and messy) 3km route as you get showered in colour! You don’t have to be a runner - it's just about having fun and getting involved in the #WeAreBristol community!
Give It A Go! - 20 September-3 October (FREE)
Give It A Go! is a fun, friendly and free way to try out an activity, club or society before joining.
