Student group bookings

Block bookings

We can offer block bookings for student groups and sports clubs. A minimum of seven sessions is required for a series to be considered a block booking. Bookings within a block do not need to be scheduled on consecutive dates.

To ensure efficient invoicing, all student groups or clubs must be correctly registered on the University system. Groups affiliated with the Students’ Union will be invoiced directly through the Students’ Union, otherwise, a supplier set-up form will be required, which can take up to four weeks to process.

Ad-hoc bookings

If your booking falls outside our pay as you go options, please submit your request by emailing our bookings team at seh-bookings@bristol.ac.uk. This applies to any booking exceeding two hours.

Ad-hoc bookings will be charged to an individual's booking account. Payment can be made via a customer’s online account or by card at any of our Welcome Desks. Please note that all facilities operate on a cashless basis.

During University term time, ad-hoc bookings can only be requested up to 10 days in advance. A maximum of three bookings per term is permitted. During University holiday periods, more than three bookings may be made, and requests can be submitted more than 10 days in advance.

Booking restrictions

Please be aware that availability for the 3G pitch and Sports Hall is limited during Terms 1 and 2. Weekday bookings are restricted to 9 am – 4 pm due to prioritisation of student-focused programmes and sports clubs.

Booking times for other activities and locations may also be restricted during peak periods.

Swimming pool bookings

Group bookings for the swimming pool’s training pool can be arranged upon request. These sessions may include tuition from a swim teacher if required.
