The unique combination of individual disciplines and collaborations within the Faculty of Arts creates a vital and vibrant research culture. There are many reasons to be excited about the arts and humanities at Bristol, but close to the top of the list must be the range and quality of our offerings, from prehistoric archaeology to avant-garde cinema, all informed by the best of cutting-edge research by outstanding scholars, in a variety of educational settings and formats.

The Faculty is one of the largest and most diverse at the University of Bristol. It is organised into three schools (The Schools of Arts, Humanities and Modern Languages) within which are housed 15 academic departments and six research centres and a number of research clusters covering a wide range of arts and humanities subjects.
