GW4 Opportunities

The GW4 Alliance is making selected training opportunities and resources from across the four universities available to research staff. Staff at the Universities of Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, and Exeter will have the opportunity to access selected research-related training at the other universities within the GW4 Alliance.

The following courses provided by the University of Bristol have been selected with particular reference for researchers who are earlier on in their career, as part of the University of Bristol’s commitment to researcher development and in line with its Concordat Implementation plan (detailed on the University of Bristol Research Staff website).

If you are a member of research staff at the Universities of Bath, Exeter or Cardiff and are interested in attending one of the following courses please send an email expressing interest to asd-course@bristol.ac.uk including the course title, date, your full name, home university and role title. Research Staff at the University of Bristol can sign up online using the link provided in the course description.

  • Leadership and management
  • Research
  • Professional skills
  • Career development

Please note that external opportunities will generally be available on an occasional basis, and at relatively short notice, as much of the training offered is likely to be available at your own institution. For some courses or workshops your request may be unsuccessful as priority will be given to each university’s own staff. This access is being offered on a trial basis and may be withdrawn if demand exceeds expectations.

Research staff training opportunities are also offered at Bath, Cardiff and Exeter. Please follow the links below:
