Hello, my name is Sian Harris and I am the dedicated Police Officer (PC 1067) at the University.
I joined Avon and Somerset Police in 2005 and have spent my Police career to date in uniform, either as part of the 24/7 response teams or Neighbourhood Policing Teams.
I am based in the Security Services building at Royal Fort Lodge where I work closely with the rest of the Security team to create a safe environment for students and staff.
I deal with anti-social behaviour and crimes that occur at the University and attempt to reduce incidents through investigation, education and patrols.

University Police Officer
The University has an annual contract with Avon & Somerset Police for a Police Officer to be based on campus and this is governed by a Service Level Agreement. For example, this includes the officer carrying out regular campus patrols, engaging with crime prevention initiatives, securely removing prohibited substances from campus (e.g. drugs), and supporting high-risk/profile events (e.g. Open Days). The University Police Officer has honorary staff status.
