English language requirements

If English is not your native language or the language of instruction at your university, you will need to meet our English language requirements to be accepted onto one of our Study Abroad programmes. Listed below are the IELTS and TOEFL requirements for the Study Abroad programmes.

Study Abroad Standard programme

The tests below are valid where they are taken no more than two years before the start date of your chosen programme of study. Component scores must be met fully through one sitting of the test; we cannot combine scores from multiple certificates.

If you are applying for the Study Abroad Standard programme, you can also meet our English language requirements using one of the certificates listed on Language Profile H. English language support

If you want to improve your confidence with academic English while you study, English language units are also available to take as part of your Study Abroad programme.
