On Monday 16th September, we hosted our 2024 CDT Student Industry Showcase at MShed, Bristol,  After a welcome  from Professor Awais Rashid and Professor Adam Joinson, and industry partner introductions, the showcase included: 

• An presentation by our EAG Chair, Andrej Kawalec
• Industry partner presentations 
• Table Top Exercise for industry partners and students to identify future challenges from industry and partner perspectives.
• Lunch and poster presentations from all our student cohorts
• A presentation from our 2023 IRW Challenge Winners 
• Announcement of the 2024 IRW Challenge for our new cohort of students

During the 2024 IRW Challenge, we ran a table top exercise with CDT students and industrial partners to identify possible topics and/or questions for our new students to work throughout the autumn term. The theme of this session will be "emerging cybersecurity topics".

During the following week, our new CDT cohort (C6) worked in separate teams, initially in Bristol and later in Bath,  to develop and present their solutions to members of the CDT Leadership Team and College of Supervisors.  The week also enabled the new CDT students to meet potential PhD supervisors and learn about the many active research projects at both universities associated with the CDT programme, as well as getting to know their academic and peer mentors.
