Toby's Experience

"Hey everyone, I'm Toby, currently in my second year I would like to introduce you to one of the Student Society's Bristol offers.

I joined Volleyball Soc last year and this year I'm part coming to you for that.

Getting involved in the sports, will get you connected to a whole lot of people.

You have three options to join sports here.

  • First joining directly through the related societies.
  • They have official unique competition teams which competes across the UK as well as trainings for beginners.
  • Then we have the more socialising one, which is called intramural, which the games every week in your chosen team and we have B:active, which is something free and fun to do.

And another thing to mention is matches. You get to watch top class undergraduate compete in real life.

All in all, people in sports societies are really chill and friendly and you can easily find your unique group while playing because there's always going to be someone at similar level ability for you to chat and play with.

Group sports especially make you feel more involved in a team.

So, to you who might be joining us in the future, don't be afraid to speak to others and no questions are stupid because we love to chat and hang out with you. "
