Amy shares their experience of first impressions and finding your place at the University of Bristol.

Amy’s experience

"Although Bristol wasn’t my initial first choice, it quickly became a place I now call home. As the only student from mainland China in my program this year, I initially felt a bit left out - especially after missing Welcome Week. However, seeing another international student confidently be herself inspired me to do the same. I joined societies, explored Bristol, and found a welcoming and safe community here. Things don’t always go as planned, but sometimes the unexpected turns out even better. I’m truly grateful to be here and proud to call Bristol my home."
