GREAT Scholarships 2027

Applications for September 2027 entry are now open.

The application deadline is 19 March 2027 at 1 pm UK time.

 

Funding towards tuition fees for students in India, Malaysia, and the USA applying for a one-year postgraduate course.

The award provides £13,000 towards your postgraduate tuition fees. One scholarship is available per country. 

These awards are in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign. 

Eligibility

You can apply if you: 

  • have permanent residency and a passport for India, Malaysia, or the USA
  • are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes
    and
  • already hold an offer (conditional or unconditional) to start a one-year full-time postgraduate degree in any subject, from September 2027.

You only need to fill in one application form to be considered for the international scholarships for which you are eligable.

The University of Bristol has hosted GREAT scholars since the 2018/19 academic year from countries including Ghana, India, Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Vietnam, Mexico, and Thailand.
