Apply for emergency funding
If you’re struggling financially, you can apply for emergency funding:
- a food voucher or cash award: Financial Assistance Fund
- IT repairs or equipment for your course: Digital Support Fund.
At certain times of year, you can also apply for:
- cheaper bus travel: Travel pass contribution scheme
- Bristol SU society memberships and activities: Student Union activity hardship fund.
Support with paying University fees
If you can’t pay your tuition fees, accommodation costs or library fines, you can get support with a late or missed payment.
Support with gaming or gambling
If you’re worried about gaming or gambling habits, for you or someone else, contact us for support.
Support with debt
If you have debt, this reduces your credit rating. It could prevent you from getting a loan in the future, such as a mortgage, higher education loan or credit card. Check your credit rating (Debt Advice Foundation).
You should arrange realistic payment plans based on how much money you have. Prioritise paying off debts before you spend on other things.
