School Disability Coordinators

Your School Disability Coordinator (SDC) is your contact in your academic school. If you are studying a joint honours course, you have two SDCs.

Coordinating your support

Your SDC liaises with the Student Disability Service and your school to implement your support, based on your study support plan.

They can provide advice on:

how the recommendations in your study support plan apply to your school's teaching and assessment practices
physical access to teaching spaces, including labs and seminar rooms
where teaching takes place or the distance between teaching venues
Fitness to Practice questions for courses that lead to a professional qualification: dentistry, medicine, veterinary science, social work, or PGCE.
