Rent, contracts and regulations

Find out about paying your university accommodation fees and other important rules and regulations that you need to know.

  • Pay accommodation fees
    How and when to pay your rent.
  • Move to a new room or residence
    If you want to change accommodation, find out if you can transfer to a new room.
  • Cancel your tenancy
    You can only end your accommodation contract early under certain circumstances.
  • Contents insurance
    Contents insurance is included in your accommodation contract but you should check that the level of cover provided meets your needs.
  • Damage
    You may be charged if any damage is caused to your room or residence by you or your guests.
  • Make a complaint
    Follow the complaints procedure if you are unhappy with your accommodation or the service you are receiving.
  • Staff access to your room
    University staff and outside contractors may occasionally need access to your room.
