What specialities do our Drs have?

All of our doctors are General Practitioners (GP). A GP is a doctor who is trained to see a wide variety of problems and refer to hospital if necessary. Some of our doctors have particular interest in areas such as sexual health or gynaecology and have taken postgraduate qualifications in them. Find out more about what a GP does.

Do I need to see the same Doctor?

You don’t need to always book to see the same doctor. Your medical record is shared so we can see what has been discussed on your previous appointment. If you prefer to see a particular doctor then you can request this. However, it might not be the next available appointment.

All GP practices are required to declare the earnings (eg average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at the practice. Between 1.4.17 to 31.3.18 the average pay for GPs working in the Students' Health Service was £47,344 before tax and national insurance. This is for 12 part-time GPs working in the practice for 6 months or more.
