Research interests
I am interested in ultradian rhythm of glucocorticoid secretion and the mechanisms underlying dynamic synthesis of glucocorticoid in the adrenal gland. I use a wide range of molecular and cell-signalling techniques to elucidate the dynamic of intra-adrenal processes involved in steroids synthesis and how these dynamics become disrupted in disease such as inflammation and critical illness. I collaborate with mathematicians to develop mathematical models of the intra-adrenal regulatory network using biological data obtained in our studies.
