The course was a great opportunity to try something different – it was a very stimulating programme, providing in depth knowledge of a wide range of diseases which has proven very useful on starting clinical years. Being involved in innovative research, learning new laboratory and writing skills, with the possibility of publication, was an invaluable experience, something as medical students we rarely get a chance to be involved in.
