Congratulations on receiving an offer for the University of Bristol’s Think Big Career Accelerator!
Think Big Career Accelerator is a new, bespoke employability programme for master’s students, designed to boost your confidence in finding employment or advancing your career after graduation.
This year-long programme will complement your academic studies with valuable employability skills to enhance your career, whether you want to return home or stay in the UK.
Your exclusive programme
The Career Accelerator programme includes three themes: building your profile, connecting with your network, and engaging with employers.
Within these themes you can look forward to a series of exclusive career events, workshops and networking opportunities to support you in your professional journey.
Building your profile
It’s important to prepare ahead of job applications to give yourself the best chance of success. We will share valuable insights and support you to enhance your CV, use platforms such as LinkedIn, and develop critical soft skills such as public speaking. You will also have the opportunity to have professional headshots taken.
Connecting with your network
Build your professional network through a series of networking events. You will be invited to an exclusive welcome reception with fellow scholars and esteemed academics, helping you develop your network early on in your time at the University. There will also be opportunities to hear from inspirational Bristol alumni.
Engaging with employersÂ
We will support you to find your ideal role and engage directly with employers to discover job opportunities. You can attend a series of workshops about writing compelling cover letters; developing interview skills; and how to make the most of constructive feedback. We also host a range of careers events where you can speak directly to international employers.
Bespoke lectures and events
You will have the chance to attend a series of lectures led by distinguished University of Bristol professors, as well as prestigious guest speaker events focused on the world of work.
Think Big Career Accelerator Scholarship
In addition to the Career Accelerator programme, you will also receive a £3,000 scholarship towards your tuition fees.
