Water Analysis
We specialise in chemical analysis of water samples (glacial, freshwater, seawater, wastewater, soil and sediment extracts) and can accommodate a wide range of concentrations, sample volumes and matrices. The state-of-the-art instrumentation permits analysis of the following:
- Inorganic anions and cations by Ion Chromatography (ICS-5000)
- Aqueous Geochemistry (metals & metalloids) via ICP-OES (Aqueous Geochemistry ICP-OES)
- Organic volatile fatty acids, carbohydrates and amino acids by Ion Chromatography (ICS-6000)
- Nutrients - total oxidized nitrogen (nitrate, nitrite), phosphate, nitrite, ammonia, urea and silica via Colourimetry (Continuous Flow Analysers – Lachat FIA and Skalar San++)
- Nutrients, Fe+3, Fe+2, sulphides, phenolics and selected metals via Colourimetry (Gallery Plus – Discrete Analyser)
- Total dissolved organic and inorganic carbon and total dissolved nitrogen via Combustion and NDIR detection (TOC-L and TOC-V Analysers)
- Dissolved organic matter via UV-vis and fluorescence spectroscopy (Agilent Cary Eclipse Fluorescence Spectrophotometer – UV/vis Spectrophotometer)
