Welcome from Wayne Holland

My name is Wayne Holland and as the Programme Director for the MSc in Management, I have overall responsibility for your programme’s content and delivery. I am delighted that you have been made an offer of postgraduate study at the University of Bristol this year. Whilst you are a student here, I will be able to help and advise you on the academic side of your studies.
I am a Senior Teaching Fellow in the Department of Management. Members of the department have research and teaching interests spanning diverse areas and they are all internationally-recognised experts in their fields. They regularly publish in leading journals, present their work to academic and practitioner audiences around the world and maintain close links with the practical world of finance.
Registration
Students joining us from the pre-sessional english language programme will need to attend registration on 21st September. All non pre-sessional students should register on 24th September 2018. At registration you will receive your first week’s timetable – make sure you are available as you can expect a variety of activities to take place.
Welcome from the Management subject leads
I’m a Teaching Fellow in Management and have taught at the University of Bristol for more than 15 years. My teaching is focused around Strategy, Critical Management Studies and Entrepreneurship. I am currently interested in participative teaching styles and writing teaching case studies.
I'm a teaching fellow in Management and before becoming an academic, I spent over twenty years in industry in the US and UK in technical, operational, project, consulting, and senior management roles. My research and teaching interests include project working, strategy, and organisational culture.
I'm a Lecturer in Management. Before joining the department in 2016 I worked at Cardiff Business School as well the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. My research looks at international labour standards in a range of economic sectors, the impact of global production networks on labour governance and the role of international organisations.
I joined University of Bristol in 2017 as a Lecturer in Management. I teach on units in digital marketing and research methods, and my research interests include social media marketing, pro-environmental consumption, fintech adoption, and cyber-security. I look forward to meeting you all in September.
