Welcome from Klaus Schaeck

Welcome and many congratulations on your offer to study for the MSc Banking, Regulation and Financial Stability at the University of Bristol.

My name is Professor Klaus Schaeck, and I am the Programme Director for your degree. This means that I have the overall responsibility for the degree prime, and I am delighted that you have chosen our new and innovative programme of study. During your time here, I am happy to help and advise you and the academic side of your studies.

I am a Professor of Banking and Finance and my research interests focus on the empirical modelling of bank behavior. For many years, I have worked with central banks and international organizations for my research. Further details can be found on my website. Many of the colleagues who teach on our banking degree are well published, present their work at international conferences, and collaborate with regulatory bodies in banking.

Registration

Students joining us from the pre-sessional english language programme will need to attend registration on 21st September. All non pre-sessional students should register on 24th September 2018. At registration you will receive your first week’s timetable – make sure you are available as you can expect a variety of activities to take place.
