Booking central teaching spaces
Staff booking a room for teaching
This is done as an annual exercise by the Timetabling and Room Booking team who:
- create all teaching timetables, across all faculties, for academic staff and students
- organise room booking for the teaching timetable.
Bookings that are not associated with teaching but would benefit from being displayed on a student/staff timetable (for example, regular research seminars) should be discussed with your Faculty Education Officer.
For contacts and queries see Timetabling team contact page.
Staff booking a room for a non-teaching event
University staff can request to book a teaching room on our campuses for non-teaching events. There are different booking systems for different parts of campus.
Clifton and Langford campus
Use Resource booker to book a teaching room for a non-teaching event at Clifton or Langford campus, both inside and outside of core teaching hours.
Room booking guidance is on the Room bookings SharePoint site.
Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus - Sloane Robinson Building
There are two ways to book rooms at the Sloane Robinson building:
- During core teaching hours, use Resource booker in the same way as Clifton and Langford campus. Guidance for this is on the Room bookings SharePoint site.
- Outside core teaching hours or for rooms that are not central teaching spaces, rooms can be booked though Hubstar.
Students booking a room for an SU Group
Booking a large event for external attendees or the public
Contact the Venues and Events team for:
- Large events (hundreds) and conferences, which include numerous external attendees (eg. other Universities) or the public
