Research groups

 

Research groups include Pleural disease, encompassing conditions like pneumothorax, malignant and non-malignant pleural effusion, pleural infection, and asbestos-related disease; Thoracic Malignancy, which focuses on mesothelioma and lung cancer; and Airways disease, specifically COPD and asthma. Additionally, the unit investigates Interstitial Lung Disease, covering idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, connective tissue disease, and hyper-sensitivity pneumonitis, alongside a dedicated Infection group that addresses pneumonia, Covid-19 and bronchiectasis.
