BSc Virology and Immunology
During your intercalation, you will review clinically relevant viral diseases in terms of their biology, molecular biology, immunology, pathogenesis and epidemiology. You will also learn about the problems associated with the production of vaccines.
You will normally work on a grant proposal or research project in either virology or immunology, in the Research Projects Laboratory in the Biomedical Sciences Building.
You'll study the following units:
- Medical virology
- Frontiers in infectious diseases
- Immunopathology and applied immunology
- An optional unit
