BSc Medical Microbiology
In your intercalated year you'll study units on infection focusing on clinically important bacterial, viral and fungal infections, as well as learning about the importance of antimicrobial resistance.
You'll also undertake a grant proposal or a research project, working in our research projects laboratory within the Biomedical Sciences Building or in one of the hospitals.
You'll study the following units:
- Medical microbiology
- Medical virology
- Frontiers in infectious diseases
- An optional unit
