COCOs questionnaires

If you are part of COCOs, you will sometimes be asked to fill out questionnaires about you or your child. This helps researchers build a more complete picture of health and development over time.

This page has information about COCOs questionnaires and who to contact if you have issues or concerns.

Why are you asking me to complete this questionnaire?

Children of the 90s is the only study in the world with such detailed health data on multiple generations of participants. Over the decades, our researchers have studied all aspects of health from asthma to diabetes, anxiety to pregnancy. Read more here: https://www.bristol.ac.uk/alspac/participants/discoveries/

Thanks to you and your family, your data is helping to improve the health and wellbeing of current and future generations.

Just like your clinic visits, your questionnaire responses are incredibly valuable to our research.

Do I have to complete the questionnaire?

No, it is entirely up to you if you want to complete the questionnaire or how many questions you wish to answer. Please skip any questions you do not wish to answer. If you need help to complete this questionnaire, please contact us via email info@childrenofthe90s.ac.uk or phone 0117 331 0010.

As with all the data we collect from you, it will be processed using a unique ID number. All your personal details are removed, and researchers will not be able to link your answers back to you. Your data will only be shared with approved researchers for research that have been approved by Children of the 90s. Children of the 90s is compliant with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and with the Data Protection Act (2018) for the collection, processing, storage, and disclosure of personal information.

Your responses will remain confidential. While the data will be analysed and shared in reports, no information that could identify you will be shared with your partner or with anyone outside the research team.
