Based at the University of Bristol, Children of the 90s, also known as Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC), is a world-leading birth cohort study.
Between April 1991 and December 1992 we recruited more than 14,000 pregnant women into the study and these women, the children arising from the pregnancy and now also their grandchildren have been followed up in detail ever since.
This marks an exciting new period for Children of the 90s. The next 5 years will zoom in on a new chapter in the story. Major life events, families, the impact of new children on health and the conditions and contexts this all lies within. We are so very excited about working with you – our Children of the 90s Champions – through this amazing fourth decade.
