Introduction to the research

Over the last year, participants in Children of the 90s have made a tremendous contribution to COVID-19 research. Thank you for taking part in our recent COVID-19 research which is increasing our understanding of COVID-19 symptoms and the impact the pandemic is having people’s lives.

We would like to invite you to provide a blood sample that will be used to provide information about how many people have already had COVID-19, even if they do not know they have had it. Results will be used with data you have kindly provided before and in the COVID-19 questionnaires and the findings from this study may help guide public health policy, and the Government’s plan for its antibody testing strategy.

If you have been invited to take part in this study, you will receive an email asking you to consent to taking part. Please ensure you follow the directions and use the link in this email as that is unique to you.

The antibody tests will be sent to your home address at the end of the month, with full instructions for taking the test and submitting your results. Please ensure you follow these instructions. You should also watch the instruction video below. If you have any questions, please email info@childrenofthe90s.ac.uk.

Participant Information Sheet

Please download and read the Participant Information Sheet which tells you more about the study and what is involved. If you have done a test like this before for Children of the 90s, we would like you to do another test and don’t worry if this time around it seems different. We are testing for antibodies again and have improved the process so the testing should be easier.
