Key dates for accommodation applications

Who can apply

Undergraduate applicants can apply for accommodation after you make Bristol your firm, first choice university.

Postgraduate applicants can apply for accommodation after you pay your course deposit.

Current students who want to live in University accommodation can apply for returner accommodation.

Pre-sessional students can apply for pre-sessional accommodation.

Study abroad students arriving in January can apply for Semester 2 accommodation.

When to apply

Applications are open from 8 April 2025.

To be guaranteed a room offer, you must meet the terms of our accommodation guarantee and apply by 30 June 2025. You can apply later, but you may not get an offer.

If you apply and have an unconditional offer by 30 June, we will respond in mid-July.

If you apply and have a conditional offer by 30 June, we will respond from 18 August.

If you apply from 14 August onwards, the date we respond depends on when you apply and how many other applications we receive.

You cannot apply for accommodation between 1 and 13 August.
