The following colleagues achieved promotion in this year's round:
William Hollingworth - Professor of Health Economics.
Esther Crawley - Reader in Child Health.
Chris Metcalfe - Reader in Medical Statistics.
Margaret May - Reader in Medical Statistics.
Trevor Thompson - Reader in Healthcare Education.
There were also two other promotions of people 'outside' the School:
A highly prestigious Visiting Professorship in Public Health for Gabriel Scally who will be working with us on public health issues. Until recently Dr Scally was Director of Public Health at NHS South of England.
An honorary promotion to Professor for a world-leading researcher and NHS practitioner with a long-standing and continuing association with the School: John Sparrow, Professor of Opthalmic Health Services Research and Applied Epidemiology
