CELFS scholarship opportunities

The Centre for English Languages and Foundation Studies (CELFS)offers a range of scholarships for students applying to the International Foundation Programme. Information about other scholarships available at the University of Bristol can be found on the Student Funding website.

The Futures Prize – 2018/19

The Futures Prize is designed to recognise potential in our International Foundation Programme applicants. There will be three prizes of £1,500 each in 2018/19 - a prize for each Pathway.

In order to be considered for the CELFS Futures Prize you must have accepted your place on the IFP by 1 July 2018.

On arrival, students will be emailed with more details about the prize. They will be invited to submit a personal essay about why they will be an excellent IFP student. A judging panel will then meet to decide which three students should receive the prizes.

The decision of the judging panel will be final. In order to receive the prize, the applicant must meet the full terms of their IFP offer and register on the Programme in September. The winner must be a full fee paying student. The winner must submit a personal essay by the deadline.

You can find details of previous winners on the International Foundation Programme profiles page.

Academic achievement scholarships (Pakistan) – £2000

International Foundation Programme students who apply through our Pakistan office can win an academic achievement scholarship.

For students starting in September 2017, we are offering three scholarships worth £2,000 each. We will award the scholarships to the most promising students. All students applying through our Pakistan office will automatically be considered. The winners will have £2,000 deducted from their International Foundation Programme tuition fees.
