Janet Owen: URC Chaplain
Janet Owen joined the Chaplaincy team representing Redland Park United Reformed Church in the autumn of 2000. Students will always receive a warm welcome at Redland Park. She can generally be found at the Chaplaincy on a Monday, enjoying the soup lunch and doing whatever is required. You can't miss her; she’s the lady with white hair! She and her husband enjoy walking and their holidays are often spent trekking in Nepal, India etc., as well as exploring the beauties of the British Isles. She therefore always enjoys meeting with students from abroad, hearing of their background and culture, and recommending places for them to visit in the UK during their time in Bristol. She’s on the Committee of the Friends of Hodgkin House. This is a house for international students in Clifton, and the committee organise trips out etc. as well as befriending individual students from all parts of the world.
