Medicine graduate destinations

The vast majority of Bristol Medicine graduates go on to undertake the national two-year clinical Foundation Programme, after which Bristol graduates are fully registered with the General Medical Council and may embark on training for their chosen speciality. Bristol has a well established Medical School which focuses on developing clinical skills as well as the professional and personal attributes required to be a doctor, and provides information about careers options for medical students.

Sector information

Bristol Medicine students will also develop a range of transferable skills, such as critical appraisal, observation, listening, reflection, logical reasoning and decision making. These skills are crucial when working as a doctor, but can be just as useful in work outside Medicine.
