Student support and funding
The School of Biological Sciences aims to provide a supportive environment for all its students. Every student is assigned a tutor who will support them throughout their time on the programme. Students are encouraged to discuss any problems, academic or personal, with their tutor.
In addition, the Student Admin team based in the G04 admin office have a great deal of contact with students and hold an 'open office' policy where students are encouraged to seek help, advice and guidance.
Students with disabilities
The School understands that students with disabilities are individuals with a wide and diverse range of needs. As a result we have chosen not to develop a blanket policy on disabilities but seek instead to provide a flexible range of resources and services that best meet the needs of each individual disabled student: needs will be assessed through discussion with the student, the School Disability Coordinator, the Student Administration Manager and the University's Disability Services.
Further information is available on the Disability Services website.
