Enteropathogenic E. coli

Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infection of Hela cells causes formation of actin containing pedestals. F-actin is visualised with Texas-Red-X-phalloidin (red), cells transfected with a Rho GTPase are stained green and nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue). This image was obtained using a Leica TCS-NT confocal laser scanning microscope attached to a Leica DM IRBE inverted epifluorescence microscope.
