The University’s Regulations and Code of Practice for Taught Programmes will apply for the 2021/22 academic year, apart from where it is temporarily qualified as below.

Revised classification regulations for 2021/22 and after (PDF, 328kB)
This sets out how the University will classify the taught qualifications of students who are considered for an award from 2021/22, where assessment that contributed to classification was affected by COVID-19 in 2019/20 and/or 2020/21. It incorporates the previous commitments, as announced by the University as part of its package of mitigations, to implement a ‘safety net’ for students who took assessment that contributed to classification in 2019/20 and a cohort unit comparison check for students who took assessment in an intermediate year of study in 2020/21, at the point when they are considered for classification. It also encompasses existing commitments to: students who were due to complete in 2020/21 but have outstanding assessment to take in 2021/22 to complete their programme; and, students studying on a part-time basis who took assessment in 2019/20 or 2020/21 that contributed to classification. The sections on classification in the Regulations and Code of Practice for Taught Programmes (the ‘Taught Code’) are temporarily qualified by this document.

Specific regulations will be in place for classification in undergraduate programmes in the School of Law.
