What we do

The Bristol Institute for Learning and Teaching is involved in a wide range of activities:

  • Supporting Assessment Change
We provide information, advice and support to enable institutional changes to assessment practices.
  • Bristol Teaching Awards
The awards recognise and reward members of staff who have made an outstanding contribution to teaching.
  • Educational Enhancement Funds
This fund enables us to make grants and scholarships available to its staff to develop and deliver major educational research.
  • Sustainability within our courses
We support the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) project. This project aims to enable every student to gain the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values to contribute to a sustainable future.
  • Bristol Futures
We support the Bristol Futures curriculum. This curriculum will give our students the chance to broaden their horizons and develop essential transferable skills.
  • Best of Bristol lectures
We support the Bristol SU's Best of Bristol lecture series. Watch Best of Bristol lectures from the series.
