Respiratory Research Patient & Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE)
We believe that the most meaningful and successful clinical research is shaped by the people it is designed to benefit. That's why Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) sits at the heart of everything we do.
We are inviting people living with a respiratory condition, as well as carers and family members, to join our Respiratory Patient & Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Research Group.
What is PPIE?
Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) ensures that research is informed by people with lived experience. By sharing your perspectives, experiences and priorities, you can help make research more relevant, accessible and impactful for patients and carers.
Our Aim
The purpose of the group is to provide valuable advice and insight that helps shape the development of respiratory research studies. Together, we can identify the most effective ways to improve care, treatment and outcomes for people living with respiratory conditions.
Why Get Involved?
As a PPIE member, you will have the opportunity to influence and shape future respiratory research, ensuring that patient and carer voices are heard from the very beginning.
The Difference You Can Make
Your experience and insight can help to:
- Provide invaluable patient and carer perspectives based on lived experience.
- Improve the quality, design and relevance of research studies.
- Ensure research focuses on the issues that matter most to patients, carers and families.
- Help shape future respiratory services and standards of care.
- Make research more accessible, meaningful and beneficial for the wider respiratory community.
Your voice matters. By getting involved, you can help ensure that future respiratory research reflects the real needs and experiences of the people it aims to support.
