Rashi's story

Rashi shares their experience of their first impression and finding your place at the University of Bristol.

Rashi's Experience

"Bristol has been one of the best decisions for a South Asian student, largely because of the culture of the city and the kind of people it attracts. A big part of choosing the University of Bristol was the balance between a vibrant, diverse city and genuinely world class teaching and facilities.

Having strong South Asian societies at the university matters a lot, especially societies like Hindu Society and Asian Society, which offer everything from sports such as kabaddi and badminton to dance and creative opportunities. Student-led projects like East Meets West also play a huge role in creating a sense of community. Cultural events such as Garba, Diwali, Holi, and iftar make it easier to feel represented and at home.

When deciding where to study, the city you live in is just as important as the university itself, and Bristol offers both.

Coming to the University of Bristol is the best decision I made, and I would recommend it to anyone at a crossroads!"
