Assessment marks and unit results

Assessment marks and unit results are provisional until ratified by an exam board. Schools will publish marks and results and email you when you can access them in eVision. See the step-by-step guidance on viewing your assessment details and results.

Schools and faculties may have different approaches to unit results release. Most schools publish all unit marks on a pre-set results release day, some release marks for single units early, as soon as marking quality assurance is complete. 

Understanding your results

When your assessment and/or unit marks are published, you can see mark signals next to the provisional and confirmed mark.

Mark signals provide information about your assessment marks and unit results, and indicate whether you need to attempt assessments again.

Due to the marking and assessment boycott, some of your marks may not yet be available. There is information to support you in understanding what you will see in eVision where marks are unavailable. 

Programme outcomes

Your programme outcome is the decision made by an exam board about your progression to the next stage of your study.

Unless you have completed your year of study at a non-standard time, you can usually view your programme outcome for the academic year after the summer and reassessment exam boards. This is usually released at the same time as your unit results.

When it is available, your programme outcome will be displayed in eVision. See the step-by-step guidance on viewing your assessment details and results.

For outcomes other than progression to the next year of study, there will be a brief comment that describes the outcome and whether it is an appealable decision.

Awards

At the end of your studies, the exam board will review your results and will confirm your award, subject to meeting all the requirements. 

You will shortly receive an email to inform you that you can access your award and transcript in eVision. Please wait for the email and follow the link provided.
