Aiding Poverty Data and Analysis Capacity Development in the Pacific

Details

Summary

Policy makers need high quality information about the extent and nature of poverty in order to develop efficient and effective anti-poverty policies. This impact project involves Bristol researchers providing technical support to Pacific Island Countries and Territories (PICTS), to help them develop, deploy and disseminate a consensual poverty question module which will provide policy makers and the public with the scientific evidence needed to reduce poverty. This question module has been developed during 30 years of research at the University of Bristol and most recently in the ESRC Large Grant funded Poverty and Social Exclusion in the UK project.
