Two BA honours degrees combine rigorous theory with hands‑on practice, introducing anthropology and archaeology through a supportive, research‑led academic community that builds skills in data analysis, interpretation and field or lab work.

Degrees combine critical and hands‑on learning, guiding students from foundational analysis to specialist skills through creative practice, collaboration with industry professionals, and opportunities for placements or applied projects. As well as single hons BA Film and Television, you can opt to take one of several Joint Honours programmes.

Our Music degree offers a wide range of units in composition, performance and musicology, allowing students to explore all areas in the first year before choosing to keep a broad focus or specialise in later years. You have the option of studying Music with a modern language.

Our Philosophy programmes engage students with fundamental questions about reality, knowledge and ethics through specialised units and independent research, with strengths across areas such as mind and language, ethics, logic, political philosophy, and the philosophy of science and mathematics.

Our Theatre and Performance degrees integrate theory and practice through a broad, research‑led curriculum taught by scholar‑practitioners, balancing historical and theoretical study with hands‑on performance‑making and innovative practice. You have the option to study a single honours degree or choose from a range of joint honours programmes.
