Other drugs and behaviours
Team: Olivia Maynard, Adam Holland
Summary: Primarily, our work on drugs other than alcohol and tobacco focuses on how to reduce stigma towards people who use drugs, which has well-established negative impacts on their wellbeing and drug use behaviours. Additional projects led by our team assess the impacts of harm reduction approaches for university students. Furthermore, we collaborate with other research teams on numerous projects; for example, working to improve healthcare provision for people who use non-prescribed opioids, tracking the harms associated with novel drugs, and exploring the experiences of coca growers in rural Colombia.
