Take part in our study to explore and compare romantic relationship outcomes between partners from similar and different cultural backgrounds.

About the study

The purpose of this study is to explore and compare romantic relationship outcomes between those with partners from different cultural backgrounds to those with partners from similar cultural backgrounds.
We are interested in individuals’ perceptions of their relationships, including aspects such as relationship satisfaction, commitment, and different factors that may influence their relationship experiences.
The findings from this research will contribute to a broader understanding of romantic relationships across different backgrounds and contexts.

What the study involves

You will complete an online survey, which will take approximately 10-15 minutes.

Compensation for your time

Participants can be compensated in: 
  • Entry into a prize draw to win a £50 International Love2Shop shopping voucher, or
  • 0.25 Experimental Hours Credit (for Psychology Students at the University of Bristol).

Eligibility

You can take part if you are:
  • Aged 18+ years old
  • Currently in a monogamous (exclusive) romantic relationship of at least 6 months (this can be with a partner from a similar or a different cultural background)
  • Comfortable completing an online survey in English
