Prospects of current and next-generation Cosmic Microwave Background experiments

The Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) opens a window on the early Universe initial conditions and the particle content of the Universe. The current generation of CMB experiments has greatly improved sensitivity to CMB data, especially in polarization; the next-generation will push this even more and will have the potential to constrain fundamental physics with unprecedented precision. I will give a prospect of what science the CMB can probe at different angular scales, showing some results recently achieved by current CMB experiments. I will then present two next-generation experiments (Simons Observatory and LiteBIRD), which have complementary angular ranges and designs (gound-based vs satellite).
