There are many different routes to finding articles and journals in our collections. This page outlines some tips to help you get started. You will also want to use databases dedicated to your discipline, which can be accessed from your Subject Guide.

Finding articles with Library Search

Quick search

  • For a basic search, simply type one or more words into the Library Search box
  • Use the 'Article' filter, under 'Format' to view articles that match your search terms
  • These filters can usually be found on the left of the screen on a computer, or under 'Group & Refine This Search' on a mobile device. 

Advanced search

  • Build up your search query using keywords or author details
  • Include boolean operators: AND, OR, NOT  
  • Choose to add filters such as 'peer-reviewed', publication year or language.

Finding journals with our A-Z list, BrowZine and Library Search

Find an eJournal with our A-Z list

If you are looking for a particular online journal, try searching or browsing our A to Z list of eJournal titles.

Search or browse eJournals with BrowZine

Browzine brings together scholarly eJournals from multiple publishers and platforms and allows you to browse, read and keep up-to-date with the key journals in your field of study and research.

Find a print journal with Library Search

Search for journal titles that may be held in print using Library Search. Select 'Journal' from the list of formats in the left-hand menu.
